  • Royal family vs. royal house

    In the past couple of years, there have come a distinct separation in Norway. It is the line between the members of the royal house (Kongehuset) and the members of the royal family (Kongefamilien). The members of the Royal House is the Monarch and spouse, the Crown Prince/ss and spouse and the heir. The rest of the lot are members of the royal family.

  • My life with horses

    Personally, I am less than accustomed with horses. I’ve been on a pony once, under duress, and aside from that my closest relationship with them has been through My Little Pony, or horses for my Barbies. That being said… I still found the biography about Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and her life with horses an interesting read.

  • Plural of Kings?

    Often one can get confused linguistically in terms of royal watching in a language other than English.

     

    In Spanish, whenever the King and Queen attend something together, they are referred to as the plural of King in the Court Calendar of Casa Real. (Los Reys).
