Since I moved home to Norway from Denmark, I’ve wanted to have a car. In Denmark – at least in inner city Copenhagen – a bike is usually more than enough transportation, when supplemented with a decent offering of buses, metro and local trains getting you pretty much where you need to be.

Chocolate Raspberry Tart
The picture is really not doing this tart justice. It tasted delicious, and as I said as I was making it – there are very few ways to make this go wrong. It is chocolate and raspberries, for Heaven’s sake… 😉 I used the wrong size of mold, so the pie crust was a bit… Continue reading Chocolate Raspberry Tart
Banana Cake
We had some bananas that were turning brown, and rather than cut them up and freeze them for smoothies – we decided to make banana cake. Advent calendar, December 21
“This is the worst Christmas ever. I had thought it was the one when our parents bought us hamsters and forgot to poke holes in the boxes, but at least that had a moment of suspense.” said by Brian Hackett on Wings
Advent calendar, December 20
“In the pre-Christian era, as the winter solstice approached and the plants died, pagans brought evergreen boughs into their homes as an act of sympathetic magic, intended to guard the life essences of the plants until spring. This custom was later appropriated by Northern Europeans and eventually it becomes the so-called Christmas tree.” said by… Continue reading Advent calendar, December 20
