Avignon – the other city of the popes – is famous for its Mistral wind. That makes wearing a short, flowy dress there as bad idea as Marilyn Monroe’s blowing in the wind experience.
Granted, my dress was black, but I still had to hold my skirt down as I danced on the bridge of Avignon.
