It’s August, time for new beginnings and a new round of ”Who’s done how much, lately”.
I’ve been tallying up the scheduled appearances of the Heir Consorts of Europe for July – I’m keeping track in a Google Calendar, if you’re interested to see the details – and here are the results of the televote… er… calendar count. (Not including Luxembourg, which have no Heir Consort yet, Monaco, where Pss. Caroline is rumoured to be in divorce proceedings with her HC, Liechtenstein where the heir has become the regent, and non-reigning houses.)
A thing to bear in mind is that July is the holiday month in Scandinavia and the Netherlands, which reflects on the results.
A thing that is new from the last time I did this is that, apart from counting number of acts, I’ve also counted number of solo acts.
Since we’re also muttering about population size playing a relative part in how much activities there are for royals to attend, I’ve also divided the number of acts they do, on the population size of the country they represent. Acts / Milion people= number.
(I’m not sure if it is relevant, or just an interesting factoid to throw out in internet discussions, but I’m including it anyway. At least it will also give a basis of comparison from month to month for that particular HC.)
