Danish photo shoot at Gråsten

The Danish royal family had their yearly photo shoot at Gråsten Palace the past week.

I like the tradition in royal families, especially when the children are growing up – because it gives you a chance to see how they’re growing from year to year, but also in a safe setting without compromising their privacy.

This year I thought it was a very smart idea to involve the swing set – you get more active and engaging photographs when the children don’t have to sit still the whole time. Since the majority of them, save for Princess Alexandra of Berleburg’s children, will grow up in the spotlight to one degree or another, it seems like a very good idea to make the press photo shoots a bit more entertaining from the get-go.

Especially Princess Josephine shone on the swing set and looked like she was having fun.
