Kindle thoughts

Fascinating thoughts around getting an ebook reader. I need to buy a Kindle, but will hate myself for doing it.

I ended up getting a Kindle, after much deliberation, and though I don’t think I’ve read more since getting it… my shelves are thanking me for not filling them up as much with books that I will likely only browse through once or twice (yes, the Mills & Boon from my January reading list belong in that category, although I bought those from their site and am reading them on my iPhone), and it is very easy to get the next book in a series if you find the first one good.

I have also made the change in format to a lot of the books that I had on pre-order from Amazon. Those that I want to read, but don’t foresee rereading over and over again go straight to Kindle now. Authors I like, and my sisters like, and we read over and over… will still be bought in paper format for now.

However, I was at a two-day knowledge organization conference this past week… E-books was the topic for one of the days. I brought my Kindle. I brought my MacBook… and what did I end up reading at the hotel room? One of the three paper books I brought.
